The Difference between 1300 numbers and 1800 numbers

The main difference is how the cost of the calls are shared between the caller and the 1300 number or 1800 number account holder.

1300 numbers (often known as Local Call numbers)

With our 1300 numbers, calls to the 1300 number from a local landline that you answer on your landline are FREE for the first 20 minutes.

The caller: only pays a normal local call fee from any fixed line phone anywhere in Australia.
If the caller is using a mobile phone, they will pay a rate that is determined by their mobile service provider.

Account Holder: the first 20 minutes are FREE for calls originating from a local fixed line phone and terminating on your fixed landline. After the FREE first 20 minutes, our low call rates apply.

Calls originating from other than local (eg. national, mobile) are charged at applicable rates.

1800 numbers (also known as Toll Free/Free Call numbers)

The caller: FREE from any fixed line phone anywhere in Australia.
If the caller is using a mobile phone, they will pay a rate that is determined by their mobile service provider.

Account Holder: the first free 20 minute component does not apply to 1800 numbers (normal 1800 number rates apply).
