Fax to Email (Fax2Email) and Voice to Email (Voice2Email)

Receive your faxes and/or voice messages on your computer via email attachment. Retrieve your messages from anywhere you have email access (even using a smartphone) with no need for a physical fax machine or voice answering machine.

How do These Services Work?

When you apply for our Fax2email and/or Voice2email service, we allocate you an inbound telephone number for your exclusive use from a pool of Australian telephone numbers (you can choose your state's area code).

Voice to Email (Voice2Email)

With your Voicemail service, you can

record your own personalised welcome messages or choose to use our standard greeting
re-record your own welcome message by telephone at any time
redirect your home, office, mobile phone, 1300 number or 1800 number to the number you have been allocated
redirect your normal phone line to your Voice2Email number when it is "busy" or there is "no answer"

When a voice messages is received, it is saved as a .WAV file, and then attached to an email and sent to your designated email address.

To listen to your message, you simply double click the attached file and your standard computer audio software* will play it over your computer speakers.

Incoming Fax Messages (Fax2Email)

When a fax is received at your allocated Fax2Email number, it is saved as a .TIF or .PDF file, and then attached to an email and sent to your designated email address.

To view your fax, you simply double-click the file and your Adobe Reader software* will open it for viewing.

*appropriate computer software is required for these services.

1300 Number/1800 Number Announcements

Recorded Information/Announcement & Caller Response

If you need to continually repeat the same message to callers (e.g. information about your product or service or a competition line), this is an effective, time saving and economical way of automating the task.

This service is like a sophisticated answering machine on which you can record a longer than normal greeting (your announcement).

It combines a 1300 number or 1800 number with Voice2Email.

Your 1300 or 1800 number is routed/directed to your Voice2Email service (indial) number.

You simply record your announcement as a greeting on your Voice2Email service.

Callers to your 1300 or 1800 number can then listen to your announcement, and at the end of your announcement, our system can record their message and send it to your email.

All fees exclude GST. Setup is $10. Minimum term 3 months. 1 calendar months notice required to cancel. Minutes included are timed on the length of the call (an average fax page takes approx 45 secs to transmit depending on content).

* Fax2Email services are also available as part of Alltel's Virtual Office Services bundle. The Virtual Office Bundle plan is not available for purchase as a stand-alone service.
# Email2Fax service is NOT a stand-alone product and is available ONLY when Fax2Email is also ordered. Each outgoing minute is timed on the length of the call from our fax server to recipient.
